Pokemon Sword and Shield Might be Teasing a New Evolution for [SPOILERS]

Pokemon Sword and Shield are coming out in two months and fans are wondering what kind of Pocket Monsters they will be nabbing this time around. We've seen a couple of new Pokemon here and there but, for the most part, we still don't know much about the full list of unknown creatures (not Unknown). Right now, the official Pokemon website is teasing a new critter and fans have one theory so weird it must not be true.

In fact, you could call this theory Farfetch'd. Get it? Because fans think that this new Pokemon will be an evolved form for Farfetch'd? I'll let myself out.

For the most part, Sword and Shield is confirming that this is an evolution form since the Pokedex entry says "Only (REDACTED) that have survived many battles can attain this (REDACTED). When this Pokemon's (REDACTED) (REDACTED), it will retire from combat."

New Pokemon games are often used to introduce new forms of existing monsters, whether they be new evolutions or pre-evolved forms. Gold and Silver introduced a number of both, with baby Pokemon like Pichu and Elekid joining brand new evolutions like Blissey. This has basically been a tradition since the very first sequels and it's good seeing this continue.

Granted, I would like to see newer Pokemon introduced, particularly the evolutions of Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. I'm still excited about this game but newer creatures would be preferred over more improved versions of older Pokemon. Still, this evolution for Farfetch'd does have potential and I hope it looks cool as hell.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are coming to Nintendo Switch on November 15.
