Perfect Marriage Revenge is a Kdrama about an adopted woman with an unfortunate fate. Although Han Yi-joo (played by Jung Yoo-min) was adopted by a rich family, she never felt loved by her adoptive father.

Also, her adoptive mother died so she was left on her own. Her father remarried and preferred his new wife's daughter over Yi-joo.

As an adult, she falls in love with Seo Jong-wook (played by Kang Shin-hyo), their chauffeur's son. When they get married, Yi-joo feels like her life has become a fairytale.

While she is now a simple housewife, Yi-joo feels content with her life and her husband by her side. It did not matter that she had abusive in-laws who were milking her for cash. She tolerated all of these for the sake of her husband.

One day, she discovers that she has been living a lie. She learns that her husband has been in love with her stepsister, Han Yoo-ra (played by Jin Ji-hee) all this time and is even planning to divorce Yi-joo.

Upon her shock, she flees the scene and gets fatally struck by a vehicle. But to her surprise, she goes in a timeslip to the past year, when she's still trying on wedding gowns.

This gives her a chance to take revenge on everyone who wronged her. She starts by giving Seo Do-guk (played by Sung Hoon) a proposal for a contract marriage.

Why Does Do-guk Help Yi-joo?

Yi-joo comes up with the perfect revenge for her stepsister-- by stealing the guy she wants to marry: Do-guk.

In the webtoon, Yoo-ra and Do-guk have only gone on one blind date. After this, Do-guk was upfront with Yoo-ra and told her he was not interested in her.

It's possible that he saw Yi-joo and became interested in her instead. He could have also seen Yoo-ra's attitude, which is why he did not find her interesting.

After accepting Yi-joo's proposal, he wishes that they will have a real marriage instead of a contracted one. So they may end up together at the end of the show.

Another possible ending is that they become good friends and Yi-joo gets the freedom she deserves.

Either ending will be good, as long as Yi-joo wins. You can read the webtoon here.
