Parks and Recreation’s Aubrey Plaza Wants to Be the New Catwoman

We just got news that Catwoman will be appearing in Matt Reeves' The Batman, and casting is currently ongoing for Batman's on and off love interest. What's interesting is, Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) says that it's a role that she would want to play.

Talking to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Plaza says that whenever she's asked about playing a superhero character, she always had Catwoman in her mind. The segment starts at 7:00:

The interview was then followed by Plaza acting like a literal cat, but it's obviously just a jab at humor and not something that she seems to be dead set on.

For now, Plaza has actually found her fanbase, and her star has grown steadily ever since she played April Ludgate in Parks and Rec. I think there's actually a chance that she could be cast as Catwoman for The Batman, seeing that she's already pretty famous, but I think Selina Kyle is kind of different when it comes to the roles that Plaza has been known for.

If anything, she could be a hyper-sarcastic Oracle or maybe Raven if they ever make a Teen Titans movie for the DCEU.

For now, Plaza is set to star in Child's Play which comes out June 21. Matt Reeves' The Batman starring Robert Pattinson comes out June 25, 2021.
