Though the Fall 2023 season is still months away, some upcoming Fall anime are now being revealed. One of these is You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story, which recently got its first trailer along with a release date reveal.
The new trailer for this high school romance anime was released on the Kadokawa Anime channel, and it reveals more cast members, as well as the opening and ending themes.
From the looks of it, this anime is going to be a must-see for romantic comedy anime fans given its premise and star-studded cast.
You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story Anime Gets Official Trailer
The You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story anime was announced back in September 2022, and it is based on the ongoing manga of the same name.
As its title implies, the series follows Ryuto, a high-school boy who is inexperienced with romance.
After losing a game, Ryuto’s punishment was to confess to Runa Shirakawa, Ryuto’s classmate who is admired by everyone.
Surprisingly, Runa accepts his confession. Despite Runa having dated many guys before, being in sharp contrast to Ryuto’s inexperience, the two start going out.
The new trailer also reveals the opening and ending songs of the anime.
For starters, the opening song is titled Love You Tender! by singer and anime voice actress Maaya Uchida (Angel Devil in Chainsaw Man).
Meanwhile, the ending theme is titled Aikotoba and is performed by the Japanese band AliA.

Our Dating Story Anime Gets October Release Date
Although the premise is interesting on its own, the show’s cast is also a big draw as it features lots of notable names. The main cast includes:
- Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer) as Ryuto Kashima
- Saori Onishi (Ais Wallenstein in DanMachi) as Runa Shirakawa
- Aoi Koga (Kaguya Shinomiya in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as Maria Kurose
- Ayaka Fukuhara (Rin Shibuya in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls) as Nikoru Yamana
- Tomori Kusunoki (Makima in Chainsaw Man) as Akari Tanikita
- Fukushi Ochiai (Kimura in Teasing Master Takagi-san) as Yusuke Ichiji
- Daisuke Sakaguchi (Leonardo Watch in Kekkai Sensen) as Ren Nishina
- Tomoaki Maeno (Decim in Death Parade) as Shugo Sekiya
Handling animation duties is ENGI, the anime studio behind titles such as Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! and The Detective Is Already Dead.
You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story will be released in October 2023.
For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release date, nor is there info on where it will be streamed outside Japan.
