Oshi no Ko is one of the most popular anime of the current generation. That's why it wasn't a surprise that Oshi no Ko got an English dub release date earlier than most anime during the spring 2023 season.

With the anime's renewal, many are already wondering if Oshi no Ko season 2 will also get an English dub.

Oshi no Ko: One of Spring 23's Biggest Titles

Don't be deceived by Oshi no Ko's bright aesthetic; this isn't your typical idol anime.

If you look through Ai Hoshino's starry eyes on the promotional visuals, you'll be drawn into Oshi no Ko's dark and brutal world.

Even though Ai Hoshino merely wants to perform and give her all to her fans, she must confront the harsh realities of the entertainment industry in order to remain in the spotlight.

Her profession isn't all fun and games, glitz and glamour, wealth, and riches; it's full of falsehoods, dishonesty, discrimination, and a slew of other toxic facets that might harm her psychological well-being.

So, when Ai Hoshino announced that she would be taking a break due to her ill health, not only did her fans try to figure her out, but her director also urged her to conceal her scandal.

Ai is pregnant with twins, and she is the only person on the planet who knows who the father is.

With no husband in sight, Ai's pregnancy is taboo in the idol world. It is an extreme violation that will sink her hard work in just a blink of an eye.

To save it, Ai's manager opted to hide her from the spotlight and seek the assistance of a rural doctor, hoping that Ai would be able to return after giving birth.

And that gynecologist is Gorou Amamiya, who was actually a huge fan of Ai after being influenced by his adorable patient, Serena.

Gorou agreed to help Ai, to the extent that he was willing to sacrifice his life for the idol just to keep her secret from nosy fans.

True enough, Gorou did the unthinkable and managed to keep Ai’s secret in exchange for his life.

However, Gorou was unaware that he would be able to reincarnate into the body of Aquamarine Hoshino, one of Ai's newborn twins.
