Who Is Ragna in Ragna Crimson?
Ragna is the primary protagonist of Ragna Crimson. Initially, he started as a feeble dragon hunter under the mentorship of the prodigy, Leonica.
Determined not to burden her any longer, he trained in secret, aiming to protect Leonica instead of relying on her defense.
Due to his history, he perceives himself as cursed, attributing all misfortunes to his perceived weakness, and feeling responsible for them.
Meanwhile, during one of his training sessions, Ragna had a prophetic dream foretelling a dragon attack that would end Leonica’s life.
Apart from this vision, he also inherited the power of his true future self, who had trained to beat the dragons.
Turned out, the powers from future Ragna are insanely remarkable, taking present-day Ragna to the next level.
What Are Ragna's Powers?
As a master dragon hunter, Ragna possesses the wisdom and battle-hardened expertise of over 32 years of relentless dragon hunting, gifted to him by his future self.
Ragna’s combat ability surpasses exceptional levels, making it nearly impossible for anyone to lay a finger on him.
Touching his spells leads to inevitable destruction for his enemies.
He inherited the Silverine Batte Arts, which is an ultimate anti-dragon technique.
This technique combines hand-to-hand combat, throwing weapons, blade techniques, and various other formidable attacks.
Ragna’s body naturally emits a silverine aura, allowing him to alter his physical form to mimic silverine, enabling him to become more durable.
He can also mold his arms into deadly blades. Ragna possesses the ability to manipulate and amplify his silverine aura, allowing him to unleash attacks with silverine properties.
As a part of his power, Ragna retains the memories of his future self, though he can’t access them at will. He does require specific clues to unlock those memories.
Ragna received an unsuccessful blood ritual from his future self, aimed at transforming into a superior dragon.
Despite the ritual’s failure, subtle remnants are present, making him secretly regarded as a partial member of the Winged Bloodline due to undisclosed powers.
Early in the series, Ragna demonstrates that his recently acquired abilities have the capacity to defeat formidable dragons such as Grymwelte, elevating him from a previously perceived weakling to a skilled and superior dragon slayer.
