Oshi no Ko is easily one of the biggest anime of 2023. With the year about to end, Oshi no Ko cast and staff members reacted to the impressive success of the first season in a new behind-the-scenes video.
This new video is the sixth episode in the Oshi no Ko BTS documentary series that began during the show’s run. Instead of sticking with behind-the-scenes footage, this new episode instead features an interview format.
Oshi no Ko’s Behind-the-Scenes Documentary Series Gets New Episode
Ahead of its premiere, Oshi no Ko already had a lot of hype behind it. This is thanks to the popularity of the manga that’s created by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).
Following its movie-length first episode, Oshi no Ko took over the anime discussions online thanks to its unique story and shocking twists. The show’s hype was maintained until the final episode.
During the show’s run in Spring 23, a documentary series was shared on the anime’s official channel. Each episode of this docuseries focused on one aspect of the series’ creation.
For starters, the first episode focused on the pre-production stage for the staff members. The next episodes then went into detail about the show’s production, recording, and soundtrack creation.
It has been some months since the release of the fifth episode, so most fans thought the documentary was over. That didn't turn out to be the case as another episode was released just recently.

Oshi no Ko’s Cast and Staff Reflect on Series’ Popularity
This sixth episode is a highlight of the first season, and it features a discussion featuring Daisuke Hiramaki (Director), Ciao Nekotomi (Assistant Director), Yurie Igoma (VA of Ruby), and Takeo Otsuka (VA of Aqua).
There, the two staff members shared some of the creative decisions they made throughout the anime’s production. Meanwhile, the two VAs talked about the recording as well as their approach to their characters.

This is a must-watch for fans, especially as it features a breakdown of some of the first season’s most memorable moments. These include Akane showing off her best Ai impression, as well as the new B-Komachi's debut.
Oshi no Ko is confirmed to continue with Season 2, and it is expected to bring back the staff and cast from the first season.
