To further drum up the hype for the movie, One Piece Film: Red and Granblue Fantasy are getting a crossover soon, and it will add all members of the Straw Hat crew into the game.
The crossover was first announced last month in a Granblue Fantasy livestream. There, the initial details of the event were revealed.
Now, more information has been shared via the One Piece and Granblue Fantasy Twitter accounts.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Granblue Fantasy is a mobile RPG with gacha elements that was released back in 2014 by Cygames.
The game is significant for featuring composer Nobuo Uematsu and art director Hideo Minaba, two iconic creators from the Final Fantasy series.
Since its release, the game has become one of the most popular gacha games worldwide.
It has also seen lots of anime collaborations over the past couple of years, including crossovers with Demon Slayer, Gintama, Attack on Titan, and more.
For this latest collab, Granblue Fantasy specifically teamed up with One Piece Film: Red, the latest movie in the long-running franchise.
The film was released in Japan on August 6, and it quickly became the top-earning movie in the franchise after just 10 days in cinemas.

Following its Japan release, the film was screened in select countries, including France and Thailand. It was also announced recently that the movie will screen in US cinemas in October.
During the crossover’s initial reveal, it was confirmed that Luffy, Nami, and Robin will be playable characters in the game. The film’s new character, Uta, will also make an appearance but as a summon.
It was then revealed over the past week that the rest of the Straw Hat crew will also appear in the game, including Zoro, Sanji, Jinbe, Chopper, Franky, and Brook.
Based on the tweets though, it seems that only Zoro and Sanji will be playable characters. The rest of the crew might appear in the crossover event’s story, but they likely won’t be playable characters.
This One Piece Red x Granblue Fantasy crossover is happening from September 14 to 25, 2022. As part of the collab, a special event will also happen on the first day, September 14, at 5:00 PM JST.
There’s no info yet on what the event will feature, though it is likely that the full contents of the crossover will be revealed there.
