Here’s Everything That Happened Before One Piece Chapter 1086
The Death of Nefertari Cobra is the title of One Piece Chapter 1085, and it includes a cover request depicting Franky encouraging hatchling turtles on their way to the sea.
The chapter picks up where the last chapter left off, following Imu’s appearance in front of Nefertari Cobra.
Cobra was offended to see Imu sit on the empty throne. He believes that no one is ever supposed to sit there and that no individual should have the power to control the world.
In response, Imu told Cobra that he would address two of the points being discussed, and in exchange, Cobra should answer one of Mu’s questions.
That's when Cobra asked who Imu was, but the latter believes that such curiosity titters the impertinence and will not be dignified with an answer.
But Imu decided to start addressing Cobra’s initial queries.
Accordingly, the "D." is the moniker of Imu’s ancient enemy. Those who carry the name do not even know of its true meaning now, and yet this irritation only endures due to Queen Lili’s grave blunder 800 years ago.
The same can be said of those annoying researchers exploring the so-called "void century", without which there would be no pirates chasing the poneglyphs in search of the One Piece treasure.
Those fascinating relics would not have been scattered over the world if Lili hadn't been inept.
The release of the poneglyphs was the worst-case scenario for them, so one has to wonder if it was truly a mistake or if it was part of a broader strategy.
Without a doubt, the truth is contained in Queen Lili's letter. Imu then asked that Cobra reveal her entire name as written in her letter.
Cobra realized that Imu and the Gorosei had figured him out, and there was no chance that he’ll be leaving the room alive.
Sabo is overhearing this conversation in the corner as Cobra discloses the truth about the letter written by Queen Nefertari D. Lili, unbeknownst to everyone.
A dark shadow arrow sprang out of nowhere and pierced Cobra in the stomach as soon as Imu heard the letter "D."
Sabo sprung into action and used his Fire Fist assault on the Gorosei, much to Imu's chagrin.
Sabo's strike, however, was ineffective against the Gorosei, who had turned into some type of hideous shadow beast.
A seriously injured Cobra wonders what motivated Sabo to step in front of him and save him in time.
Sabo responds that the cause of the revolutionary army is more concerned with the monsters who sit above the kings and queens of the world.
He also questioned Cobra if he knew Luffy in any way, to which Cobra replied that Luffy had once saved him.
The Gorosei begin to pursue Sabo and Cobra, but the latter wishes for the former to be left behind. Sabo will have a higher chance of surviving if he escapes alone, and if he dies in the castle, they will be in even more jeopardy.
Cobra also wants Sabo to inform Luffy and Vivi that they have the same moniker, "D," much to Sabo's amazement.
Another shadow arrow struck Cobra, causing Sabo to drop him. Despite this, Cobra is dead set on protecting the truth and letting Sabo leave on his own, even if it means risking his life.
It was revealed that Wapol saw everything through a hole in the wall. He now fears for his life since he has stumbled upon the biggest skeleton in the government’s closet and witnessed what they did to King Cobra.
Meanwhile, at the Grand Round Table in the Council Chamber, the council received word that King Cobra and Wapol would not be attending the session, so they will proceed without them.
They are talking about a coalition of the four northern nations calling for independence.
On the other hand, Princess Shirahoshi and the delegates of Ryokugyu worry about Vivi’s whereabouts.
Apparently, Princess Vivi has been captured by CP0 members Jabra and Kalifa in another guest room.
Fortunately, it was only for a brief moment as Wapol eats the wall, taking Princess Vivi with him.
