One Piece Chapter 1,041 Recap
Momonosuke talks to Yamato about Zunesha, with the latter feeling more impressed with Momonosuke afterward. Although, Momonosuke is having doubts about opening Wano's borders, considering Oden ripped out an important page about Laugh Tale in his journal.
On the third floor, the narration announces that Raizo won against Fukurokuju. Meanwhile, Orochi is annoyed with Fukurokuju since he hasn't shown up yet.
Orochi also gets angry at Komurasaki, who's still playing her shamisen. Parts of the ceiling collapse on Orochi, leaving him trapped in the rubble. He tries to transform to set himself free, but he fails to notice that Komurasaki used Sea Prism nails on him.
Komurasaki expresses her true feelings regarding Orochi. She also reveals her true identity, telling him that her father is Kozuki Oden.
Izo continues to face off with CP0. During the fight, the CP0 boss gets a call saying that the Five Elders issued an order to eliminate Luffy.
Usopp is finding an escape route while carrying Kinemon and Kiku on Hamlet. Meanwhile, Wanda, Carrot, and Nekomamushi are also running away. Elsewhere, Franky pulls Zoro up back to the ground.
Otama and Nami's group are with Marco. On the other hand, Captain Kid and Law's crews cheer for Big Mom's defeat. Kid and Law are lying on the ground, exhausted.
At the rooftop, Kaido asks Luffy if he sensed what just happened. He's furious, knowing Big Mom lost. He shortly reminisces about when he first met her, realizing that he and Big Mom go way back.
Kaido enters his crying mode, and Luffy attacks him with a new move called Hydra. After punching Kaido multiple times, Luffy screams that he will kick Kaido out, no matter what.

Drake fights the CP0 boss. After Drake stabs the boss, they counterattack by aiming for Drake's throat.
The remaining part of the chapter focuses on Kaido and Luffy's battle. It reveals new drunk modes from Kaido and new attacks from both Luffy and Kaido.
In the middle of their fight, the CP0 boss shows up. Luffy gets distracted, and Kaido attacks him. Kaido is disappointed to see another battle of his interrupted, similar to what happened with Oden back then.
