Even though it only just premiered, Ninja Kamui is already getting praise from anime fans thanks to its gripping action. Thus, many viewers have become curious about Shigeru Murakoshi, one of the Ninja Kamui creators.
Murakoshi may not be the anime’s director, but he is still a key member of its creative staff. After all, Murakoshi handles the series composition, meaning he is the person who oversees the show’s scripts.
He is joined by two other notable creatives, one of whom is likely familiar to most shonen anime fans.
The Key Creative Figures of Ninja Kamui
Ninja Kamui is a new anime directed by Sunghoo Park, the notable director of Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK) season 1, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and The God of High School.
Park didn’t return to direct the new JJK season as he founded his new studio E&H Production back in 2021.
After nearly three years, the studio finally released its first proper work which is Monsters: 103, the OVA based on Eiichiro Oda’s one-shot manga.
Soon after, E&H Production’s first proper anime series, Ninja Kamui, premiered on Adult Swim's Toonami block.
Alongside the studio, Sola Entertainment is also working on the series. This production company is best known for producing works such as Blade Runner: Black Lotus and Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.
Sola Entertainment is led by Joseph Chou, who also serves as the producer of this new anime. Completing the trio of Park and Chou is Shigeru Murakoshi.

Meet Shigeru Murakoshi, the Writer of Ninja Kamui
Murakoshi is a notable anime writer who has served as the series composer of shows such as Zombie Land Saga, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, and Kakegurui Twin.
More recently, Murakoshi also worked on the script of Solo Leveling episode 7. Other notable shows he wrote scripts for include Dororo, Knights of Sidonia, and Campfire Cooking in Another World.
Aside from Ninja Kamui, Shigeru Murakoshi has also worked with Sunghoo Park before. That’s because Murakoshi served as the series composer for The God of High School.
Given the trio’s impressive body of work, it should come as no surprise that their latest anime is getting praise and attention from many fans.
New episodes of Ninja Kamui are released every week on Adult Swim. These episodes are then available to stream on the following day through Max.
