Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: Game of Thrones Scripts 'Vanish' After Scenes are Shot

With Game of Thrones 8 being one of the most anticipated shows of next year, it would make sense that the production would remain so secretive. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, says that the show even goes so far as to making scripts "vanish" the moment the actors are done with their scenes.

Coster-Waldau tells Elite Daily:

"They're very very strict. It's reached a crazy level this year. We actually get the scripts, and then when we've shot the scene — and we only have it digitally — and then when you've done the scene, it just vanishes. It's like Mission: Impossible. 'This will self-destruct.'"

With big budget films like Star Wars and the Marvel movies full of non-disclosure agreements, stories like this don't sound stranger to fans who keep an ear to the ground when it comes to movie news. Avengers: Infinity War even went so far as to write fake scenes for several actors in the movie—particularly Tom Holland who is bad at keeping secrets.

As for Game of Thrones 8, the show had decided to skip this year in order to make up for the next level production of the very last season. Game of Thrones has grown to be a worldwide phenomenon, and though fans don't want to say goodbye, it's probably best that the series end while it's still at its high point—unlike The Walking Dead who is losing their main star not even halfway through the upcoming season.
