Nick Jonas Throws His Name Into The Ring As Ben Affleck’s Batman Replacement

Yesterday, word came out that Ben Affleck was officially stepping down from his role as Batman, passing on the opportunity to put on the cape for Matt Reeves' upcoming standalone movie for the Dark Knight, The Batman. Now that Affleck has left the franchise for a newer and younger actor to take on the role, musician and pop-star Nick Jonas has started expressing interest in the part, throwing his hat into the ring on social media.

Taking to Instagram, CommentsbyCelebs put up a screenshot of an exchange between Hypebeast and Jonas about the news regarding Affleck's departure. The Hypebeast Instagram just recently posted a news alert regarding Affleck's decision to leave his role as Batman, writing that "The upcoming Matt Reeves-directed 'The Batman' focuses on a younger Bruce Wayne, and will reportedly be casting a new member for the role. It's slated for a June 25, 2021 release. Who do you think should play The Dark Knight?"

Jonas then took to the comments section to make his reply, writing that he'd be a good candidate for the role.

"First name Nick. Last name Jonas," the pop star replied.

While Jonas might have simply been playing around on the social media platform, we can't be entirely sure how series Jonas is about the part. We're sure his fans would be interested in seeing him play a young Bruce Wayne for DC.

However, Jonas as Reeve's Batman seems rather unlikely. DC has a tendency to hire unknown names when it comes to their younger actors, and we're sure that Warner Brothers already has a list of actors in mind.

Who would you like to see as DC's new Batman? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
