Nick Fury Star Samuel L. Jackson Says Marvel Fans Should Watch Films Outside The MCU

The Marvel Cinematic Universe might be one of the most successful comic book movie franchises in Hollywood history, but Marvel star Samuel L. Jackson tells Marvel fans that they ought to go beyond the circle and watch other films outside the MCU.

Sitting down for a video interview with IGN, Jackson has a few notes about the comments about Glass that netizens have been posting on the news outlets' videos and articles about M. Night Shyamalan's latest movie. Responding to these comments, Jackson jokes that people online seem to have a bit of trouble forming complete sentences, poking fun at the comments that don't make any sense.

Coming across comments of netizens comparing Glass to films from the MCU, Jackson couldn't help but make a nice sharp jab.

"You have to get past the Avengers and Marvel s**t at some point ok? Other f***ing people make movies," Jackson suggested.

The actor does have a point. While it's great to have this passion for films in the MCU, there are so many other movies outside the franchise that fans can explore. It would benefit some to think outside of the MCU every now and then.

Of course, that doesn't mean that Jackson doesn't enjoy doing his work in the franchise. Starring as Marvel's Nick Fury, Jackson has been in the MCU for more than a decade. Now, the actor is set to appear in upcoming Marvel films like Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Captain Marvel is set for release March 8, 2019. Spider-Man: Far From Home, on the other hand, comes swinging on July 05, 2019.
