New Synopses for WandaVision, Loki, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are Out

Marvel Studios had just dropped our first teaser for their upcoming Disney+ shows, and everyone is already excited to see what the streaming service has in store. What's also great is that we now have an official synopsis for all three shows.

Here they are (via /Film):

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Following the events of "Avengers: Endgame," Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios' "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier." The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland; Malcolm Spellman is the head writer. Debuts on Disney+ this fall.

WandaVision

Marvel Studios' "WandaVision" blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ this year.

Loki

In Marvel Studios' "Loki," the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of "Avengers: Endgame." Kate Herron directs and Michael Waldron is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ next year—2021.

If anything, the descriptions are still kind of vague, but at least we get some kind of confirmation. I think the one that gives off the most info is the synopsis for WandaVision since it confirms that we're going to see the show in a ‘classic sitcom' format, with the two characters suspecting that the world around them isn't real.

Besides that, we don't really know much more about the other two shows.

With Disney+ opening this door for more risky projects, I'm excited to see what kind of material Marvel can come up with when it comes to their miniseries. Each show is said to have a budget of an actual film, so I expect production value to be topnotch. Hopefully, they don't drag the story out too long, like what happened with the Marvel Netflix shows.

The first Disney+ Marvel show, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, comes out this fall (possibly August).
