New Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Trailer Reveals Amanda Plummer as the Main Villain

During their recent New York Comic-Con panel, Paramount+ unveiled the new trailer for the highly-anticipated third season of Star Trek: Picard which will feature the reunion of the entire main cast of The Next Generation. The new sneak peek gave us an extended look at the team coming together again for one last adventure as they're facing another big threat.

However, the biggest reveal in this new trailer is the casting of veteran actress Amanda Plummer as Vadic, the villain of the season. Her involvement is also a full circle moment since her father Christopher Plummer was the villain of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, the last film of The Original Series crew.

In addition, the trailer also revealed that Brent Spiner will be playing the role of Lore during the season while Daniel Davis is also returning to reprise the role of Professor Moriarty. LeVar Burton's daughter is also cast to play Geordi La Forge's daughter Alandra.

Based on this new footage, it looks like the upcoming season will deliver what fans have been waiting for ever since the series was first announced and it looks like they were really eager to make this a satisfying conclusion for the crew just like what The Undiscovered Country did to the TOS crew. This should excite long-time fans who have been looking forward to this special moment.

Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, and Michelle Hurd are starring in the upcoming season. Terry Matalas serves as the sole showrunner. This season will also serve as the official sendoff for The Next Generation crew.
