It was announced yesterday that the release date of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been pushed down five days from December 25, 2023, to December 20, 2023, which most fans find rather satisfying given that the chances of moviegoers seeing the film on Christmas Day are no longer a threat to the film's future reception. Aside from this new report, a few Aquaman 2 spoilers have surfaced on Reddit, with fans debating which could be true based on the leaked information.

Redditor u/lawrencedun2002 shared a Twitter thread containing the said spoilers, citing a major death that happens in the sequel, which will serve as a standalone like its predecessor.

Spoilers for the Aquaman sequel have been piling up each day, despite the film being a few months away. Fury of the Gods Jack Dylan Grazer mistakenly revealed that Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman is set to have a cameo in Aquaman 2, which left fans annoyed for being hinted at early on, yet others are happy to know that the Queen of the Amazons will be seen once more.

James Wan returns to direct Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom with a screenplay penned by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Aquaman 2 will see the return of Jason Momoa in the lead role of Arthur Curry/Aquaman with other returning cast members: Patrick Wilson as Orm, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Amber Heard as Mera, and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.

It will also introduce new cast members, starting with Game of Thrones alum Pilou Asbaek, Indya Moore, Vincent Regan, and Chinese-Portuguese actress Jani Zhao in her first major Hollywood film and English-language feature debut.

Aquaman, based on the DC character created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger in 1941, had a global box office gross of over $1 billion, making it one of Warner Bros.'s highest-grossing DC films. The character first appeared in a live-action film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016, and he later reprised the superhero role in Justice League.
