New Spider-Man: Far from Home Set Video has Crowds Fleeing from a Scene

Spider-Man: Far from Home is currently undergoing production, and so far, nothing too big has leaked online at all. Sure we know that Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and Happy Hogan will be in the film, but we still have no idea what Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio looks like at all. While we wait for an official reveal, a new set video has a town festival in terror.

Check it out:

I can't imagine just Spider-Man inciting this kind of panic, so I assume that this is a crowd reacting to an official reveal by Mysterio. He is, after all, a master of special effects, and a town festival full of people is the perfect place for his theatrics.

Though Spider-Man: Homecoming did feature a lot of other comic villains in minor roles, the only rogue we have confirmed for Far from Home is Mysterio. Some think that Hydroman could be a villain, but I think it's pretty much up Mysterio's alley to attack his enemies using a giant water cannon. Besides, there's so much more interesting villains to pull out besides Hydroman.

Some guess that J.B. Smoove has also been cast as a villain, but I'm more on the theory that he's actually The Daily Bugle's J. J. Jameson. He's a pretty funny guy, and his name is pretty much spelled out like the last Jameson—J.K. Simmons.

Hopefully Sony gives us an official look at Mysterio soon.

Spider-Man: Far from Home hits theaters July 5, 2019.
