New Poster for Pixar’s Onward Starring Chris Pratt and Tom Holland

With Toy Story 4 almost here, Pixar has given us a first look at their other upcoming movie, Onward starring Tom Holland and Chris Pratt. The trailer is set to come out later tonight, and now we have a poster featuring elves Ian (Tom Holland) and Barney (Chris Pratt).

If you're unfamiliar with the plot of Onward, it's basically like a PG version of Netflix's Bright. The world focuses on fantasy characters like elves and dragons living in contemporary society with phones and cars. The story will focus on the two elf brothers as they attempt to look for whatever magic is left in the world.

The movie will be directed by Dan Scanlon (Monsters University), and will also star Octavia Spencer (The Shape of Water) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep).

With some applauding Bright for the interesting premise, the film still fell flat on execution. With the prestige that comes with a Pixar film, a lot of people are expecting that Onward will treat the concept right this time. I mean, Chris Pratt admitted to crying during the pitch meeting for this movie. It has to be good at some level.

Also on Bright, Netflix is already working on a sequel, so if you want the R-rated version of the same setting, we're still getting it. Just don't expect any Pixar-level storytelling.

Onward is still set to come out March 6, 2020, but for now we wait for the release of Toy Story 4 this coming June 21.
