Awesome The Lion King Character Posters Revealed

Disney is certainly making sure fans are getting hyped up for the premiere of The Lion King. The House of Mouse has just unveiled the film's awesome character posters.

The new Lion King posters were shared by director Jon Favreau on his official Instagram account. The posters feature all the main players including young Simba and young Nala. Make sure to swipe through the posts below to see all images.

So far, the trailer for the remake has only featured the voices of Mufasa (James Earl Jones) and Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor). Granted, we heard Timon (Billy Eichner) and Pumbaa (Seth Rogen) singing The Lion Sleeps Tonight. However, the world has yet to hear Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce Knowles-Carter as Nala, or even Alfre Woodard's Sarabi and John Oliver's Zazu. Hopefully, that will change soon as new teasers are still being released before the film's July premiere.

The official description for The Lion King reads as follows:

"Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy, and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his."

The Lion King hits theaters on July 19.
