New MCU Report Details Doctor Strange’s Major Role in the Upcoming Avengers Movies

With the introduction of Kang the Conqueror recently in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the MCU is now officially in the Multiverse Saga which will conclude in the upcoming two Avengers movies The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. The Jonathan Majors character is set to be the big baddie of the saga.

While we're still years away from the release of the two upcoming movies, a lot of fans are already curious about which heroes we will see face off against Kang and become the central figures in the fight against the multiversal villain just like Tony Stark and Steve Rogers were in Infinity War and Endgame.

Now, a new report by The Cosmic Circus has shed some light regarding the alleged plot details of the upcoming Avengers movie where they revealed that Marvel Studios is planning for the final matchup to be between Doctor Strange and Kang on the opposite sides of the battle.

However, the difference between this and the previous films is that Kang believes that he is the hero who is trying to save the multiverse from the greatest threat yet which is Doctor Strange himself.

So why is the sorcerer the "greatest threat" in Kang's point of view? The article explained that as we've seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Sinister Strange can become the outcome of most Stranges in the multiverse and we have seen at the end of the film that the MCU variant has the potential to turn into one.

The report also claimed that sources told them that Sinister Strange "has been terminating his variants to avoid the inevitable future of an incursion between two universes" in order "to avoid leading to Sinister Strange and his current circumstances in the future" similar to the Immortus.

Obviously, the information has not been confirmed yet by Marvel Studios since they are potential plot spoilers about the upcoming movies so we have to wait until the films' releases in order to find out whether this is true or not.

There is also a possibility that the plans might change since it is still far away and we know that some changes are coming in the MCU since it is having a "franchise recession." Let's just wait and see whether this will end up happening and it is certainly an interesting direction if it ever does.
