New Mary Poppins Sneak Peek Let's Us Hear One of the New Songs

While we won't be getting a Star Wars movie this December, Disney is looking to shake things up with their release of Mary Poppins Returns. The film looks absolutely fantastic, but what's a Mary Poppins film without music? A new sneak peek gives us a teaser for one of the new songs for the film.

We still don't know what the song is called, but we do know that it will have Lin-Manuel Miranda in the spotlight as his character Jack the Lamplighter. We also have an interesting musical number with lamplighters much like the chimney sweeps from the first film.

No doubt, we're going to be getting more musical numbers from the movie that we haven't seen yet. We know that Emily Blunt will be the glue that holds all the set pieces together, but I'm sure we're also going to get some amazing numbers from Meryl Streep, and maybe even Colin Firth.

I think the movie looks absolutely amazing, and this is one live-action Disney film that I'm actually looking forward to. I don't want to stop anyone from enjoying them, but I felt that the live-action adaptations of classic animations were just a tad unnecessary. With this, we get a full sequel, plus some exciting musical numbers.

Hopefully, Disney releases the soundtrack before the film comes out.

The mysterious Mary Poppins returns to Depression-era London to visit Jane and her brother Michael, now a father of three, and helps them rediscover the joy they knew as children.

Mary Poppins Returns to theaters Dec. 19.
