New Game Of Thrones Beer Might Confirm Who Will Take The Iron Throne

It's hard to imagine Game of Thrones without the heavy drinking. After all, characters like Cersei and Tyrion Lannister wouldn't be the same if they didn't have a glass of wine in their hands. Interestingly, the new Game of Thrones beer pays tribute to a character who doesn't seem fond of liquor. However, he could be the next ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

According to The Full Pint, Brewery Ommegang and HBO Licensing & Retail have just unveiled the latest beer in their Game of Thrones Royal Reserve Collection. The new beer is a barrel-aged imperial stout that is described as "rich and full with notes of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and roasted malt." Ladies and sers, we present to you, the King in the North.

Fans might wonder why Jon Snow has been chosen to be honored by Ommegang. Could this mean that the King in the North is set to take over the Iron Throne in Game of Thrones Season 8?

It might be too soon to tell. There are three other beers in the Royal Reserve Collection. Hand of the Queen is a barleywine dedicated to Tyrion while the sour blond blend called Queen of the Seven Kingdoms is for Cersei. Daenerys Targaryen's beer is called Mother of Dragons, which is a smoked porter and kriek blend.

King in the North will be available starting Black Friday this year. You can get the full set of the Royal Reserve Collection on the same day, November 23. The collection would be perfect for your Game of Thrones Season 8 viewing next year.

The Game of Thrones Season 8 air date has not yet been announced. Nevertheless, the final season is expected to premiere in early 2019.
