My Life with the Walter Boys is coming to Netflix this week and you might be wondering, does the series get a sequel? Considering that the romantic comedy is based on a Wattpad book by Ali Novak, here's what you need to know.

Does My Life with the Walter Boys Get a Sequel?
Netflix's newest Wattpad-based series, My Life with the Walter Boys consists of 10 episodes which follows 15-year-old Jackie Howard moving away from Manhattan to live in Colorado.
After losing her parents in a tragic accident, she is forced to live with the 12 Walter boys, two of whom she shares a love triangle with.
The whole point of the story is Jackie having to move forward after the tragedy and through her self-journey, she also has to choose between Cole and Alex Walter.
By the end of the book, Jackie decides she wants to face her fears by returning to New York, leaving her life with the Walter boys behind. However, the ending doesn't exactly close her chapter with the two Walter boys which leaves room for a potential continuation of their story.
With that in mind, does this mean we can expect a My Life with the Walter Boys 2 on the way?

What Would My Life with the Walter Boys Sequel Be About?
At the age of fifteen, the author of the Wattpad book, Ali Novak, wrote her first full-length novel, My Life with the Walter Boys. Gaining 24 million reads on Wattpad's platform, her novel was published under Sourcebooks Fire in March 2014.
Back in an interview in the same year, Novak laid out her plans on what we can expect from the sequel, which was initially titled My Life as a Walter Boy:
"The sequel is called My Life as a Walter Boy. It takes place four years after the end of the first book and it's in Cole's perspective. However, I can't say whether or not I would publish the current sequel; I'm toying with the idea of writing a completely different one."
As of writing, Novak has yet to publish the sequel in full, but some of its chapters can already be read on Wattpad under her author link.
It is also worth mentioning that the Wattpad version of the sequel is not related by any means to the officially published version of My Life with the Walter Boys. As Novak wrote, "If you've only read the published version, then this [sequel] will not make sense!"
In the meantime, all ten episodes of My Life with the Walter Boys will be available to stream on December 7th.
