Who Does Jackie End Up With in My Life with the Walter Boys?
The biggest question any fan would ask before watching a romantic comedy is who the main character ends up with.
For starters, the official synopsis for My Life with the Walter Boys reads:
After losing her family in a tragic accident, 15-year-old Jackie is forced to leave her privileged Manhattan life and move in with a large, boisterous family in rural Colorado, where she becomes entangled in a love triangle between two brothers.
The two brothers in question are Cole and Alex Walter. While Cole is the "most popular in school" type of guy, Alex, the nerdy one is the complete opposite but he shares a lot more in common with Jackie when it comes to reading books and fantasy series.
The book explored the complicated dynamic between Jackie and Cole, and how Jackie ending up with Alex would make more sense. So, who does Jackie end up with between the Walter boys?
It remains to be seen whether the series will follow the same path as the author Ali Novak did in the Wattpad novel, which we're digging into.
Does Jackie End Up With Cole or Alex in the Book?
In the pages of Novak's book, Cole and Alex Walters had a difficult relationship as brothers.
Jackie grew closer to Alex after they became friends, so much so that Alex felt comfortable enough to tell her what Cole did to him behind his back.
Alex had a crush on a girl named Mary Black since elementary school. Once they started dating in high school, he was surprised after she broke up with him for no reason.
Basically, Mary dumped Alex for another guy. And as fate would have it, that guy happened to be his brother, Cole. Despite knowing this, Jackie couldn't help falling in love with Cole, too.
At first, Jackie started dating Alex but then ended up cheating on him with Cole. By the end of the book, she broke up with Alex, because as she told him, "I started dating you so I wouldn't have to deal with [Cole]."
As for Cole and Jackie's ending, though, Jackie was leaving Colorado to go back to New York. Initially, she was convinced Cole wouldn't see her off.
Surprisingly, Cole managed to catch up to Jackie to share one last kiss between the two. That said, Jackie promised him, "See you in three months" which means they'll likely start dating once she returns.
