With the next season set to premiere in just a month and a half, new details have seemingly leaked online regarding My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 1.
Specifically, new info comes was revealed by @animetv_off on Twitter which mentions that the season’s first episode won’t be a recap episode.
While not applicable to all seasons, My Hero Academia seasons typically begin with an episode that recaps the events of the previous season.
This is helpful for casual viewers, though dedicated fans generally prefer each season to start with action as there are lots of season recaps available online.
If this leak turns out to be true, then fans will be treated to an episode that starts directly after the events of season 5. Given that the sixth season adapts a major arc in the storyline, the first episode should be an exciting one.
So far, this is not officially confirmed, but it’s likely to be accurate considering that lucky fans who attended the Hero FES event last July were treated to a special premiere of episode 1.
My Hero Academia is an anime series by studio Bones that’s based on the manga of the same name by Kohei Horikoshi. The manga has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2014.
Meanwhile, the first season of the anime series was released back in April 2016, with the first season having only 13 episodes. Thanks to its popularity, the subsequent seasons each had 25 episodes.
Season 6 adapts the Paranormal Liberation War arc of the manga, and according to fans, this arc is one of the series’ biggest.
In case you need a refresher, the arc sees an all-out war between the pro heroes and the Paranormal Liberation Front led by Tomura Shigaraki and the League of Villains.
My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 1 will premiere on October 1, 2022, in Japan. The season is also confirmed to stream outside Japan through Crunchyroll shortly after each episode’s Japan release.
