With the Season 6 of My Hero Academia making waves as the Paranormal Liberation War arc comes to the screens, the beloved anime based on the manga of Kohei Horikoshi gets its own live-action movie on Netflix having aboard Obi-Wan Kenobi writer Joby Harold to pen the script.

The live-action My Hero Academia movie on Netflix has been announced in August last year following the news that Japanese filmmaker Shinsuke Sato, known for Alice in Borderland, being aboard the project as the director and executive producer of the film.

Now, the puzzle pieces are coming together as the My Hero Academia live-action movie lands Obi-Wan Kenobi scribe Joby Harold to do the screenplay of the movie based on the beloved manga written by Kohei Horikoshi which currently has more than 65 million copies worldwide.

Joby Harold is a tenured writer known for his works on Obi-Wan Kenobi, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, Edge of Tomorrow, Robin Hood, and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Harold also co-wrote Army of the Dead, and the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Atlas, and The Flash.

Not only that, a promising powerhouse production crew is aboard on the Netflix live-action film with Legendary Entertainment's Mary Parent and Alex Garcia as the producers for the My Hero Academia movie. It will be distributed by Toho Co. Ltd. in Japan.

My Hero Academia has been a household name in both anime and manga series being one of the most popular titles released in the 2010s. The Japanese superhero shōnen manga series of Kōhei Horikoshi which started in 2014 and the anime series produced by Bones which had its inception in 2016.

My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya, someone born without any superpowers, more commonly known as quirks, in a world where it is common for one to have them. Izuku, who is also known as Deku, dreams of becoming a superhero himself.

My Hero Academia live-action movie has no release date yet on Netflix. My Hero Academia Season 6 is currently airing on Crunchyroll.
