While these two are no doubt the highlights of the season, My Happy Marriage has also become one of the top anime of Summer 2023.

To start, there’s the story that’s reminiscent of Cinderella as it follows Miyo Saimori, a girl that’s been treated as a servant by her family due to her lack of supernatural abilities.
Soon, she is betrothed to the fearsome soldier, Kiyoka Kudou. But contrary to the rumors, Kiyoka is not a monster, leading to true feelings developing between the two.
Another possible reason is the beautiful art style and animation by Kinema Citrus, the popular studio behind shows such as Made in Abyss.
