Mulan Confirmed for Theatrical Release in China

The world is currently preparing to start streaming Mulan on Disney+. However, there is at least one country that will have to wait until next week to see the live-action reboot of the animated classic. It has just been confirmed that Mulan is still getting a theatrical release in China next Friday.

There is little doubt that Disney is determined to release Mulan in theaters despite the COVID-19 scare. Although the studio ultimately chose to make the film available for a fee on Disney+, it still had its eye on a major Chinese theatrical release for the movie. It was previously reported that Disney has been aiming for a premiere right before Mulan is made available on the streaming service. However, the final date for the Chinese premiere has been revealed.

According to Comic Book Movie, Mulan is set to hit Chinese theaters a week after the film's release on Disney+. In addition to that, a new poster for the movie has been unveiled. Check it out below.
