Mulan Does Parkour in New Special Look Ahead of Disney+ Premiere

The premiere of Mulan is almost here and Disney has decided to hype up the digital release of the live-action reboot with a special look at what will happen in the film. Interestingly, the new footage features Hua Mulan doing parkour as she takes on a group of bad guys.

The teaser opens with Mulan finding herself in a hallway facing off against a group of Bori Khan's men. However, she has some allies as well. A group of soldiers arrive behind Mulan and she is told to find the emperor while the men will hold the baddies back. At first, it looks like Mulan agrees to back down but she immediately joins into the attack.

Interestingly, the bad guys show off their skills at wall-running but Mulan isn't about to be outdone. She scales the walls as well to run above the soldiers and faces off against one of the bigger warriors. Needless to say, we weren't expecting Mulan to be doing parkour in this movie.

The synopsis for Mulan reads as follows:

"When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. Masquerading as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential. It is an epic journey that will transform her into an honored warrior and earn her the respect of a grateful nation…and a proud father."

Mulan can be purchased on Disney+ by buying the $29.99 Premium Access. The film will be released on September 4 and is expected to be available for free on the streaming service by December.
