Ms. Marvel Episode 2 Ending Explained

Crushed, Ms. Marvel Episode 2 is a blast to watch as it perfectly delivers more on how Kamala’s life is as a Muslim Pakistani who just became a hero after a bangle from her grandmother activated her powers. Bruno found out that Kamala’s powers are not from the band but from within her which makes her a hero before she could ever dream of it.

Then, there’s this new guy in school: Kamran, and Kamala immediately has a crush on him. They are both from the same ethnicity and they like the same stuff like Bollywood movies and how their mother’s are attracted to Kingo, an Eternal who doubles as a Bollywood actor. Still, Kamran seems sketchy from the start as if he was targeting Kamala all along.

See, on their first meeting, they bumped into each other, then at Zoe’s pool party, Kamran immediately approached Kamala, offered her and her friends a ride after the police barged in, and even got his number in her phone. It all seems fishy but Kamala overlooks that part because she has a crush on him.

At the end of Ms. Marvel Episode 2, Kamala saved a kid from falling only to get distracted by a vision of a woman and the kid almost fell but Kamala was fast enough to give him platforms of her hard light to lessen the height of the fall. With this, the Department of Damage Control got a hint of where Kamala is and they pursued her.

Kamala was able to escape, though, because Kamran was there at the right place at the right time, and this time, he brought his mother with her. To Kamala’s surprise, she is the same woman in her visions. Who is she and Kamran anyway?

Ms. Marvel Episode 2: Who Is Kamran? Is He An Inhuman?

In the comics, Kamran is an Inhuman like Kamala Khan and he got exposed to the Terrigen Mist as well. Kamran has the ability to emit a bioluminescent glow from his body and he has biokinetic energy wherein he can cause objects to explode on its own. However, he’s no ally because he works for the crime boss Gordon Nobili.

So, in the comics, Kamran is an inhuman, too. Does this mean that the Inhumans are coming to the MCU? Well, it is worth noting that Bruno discovered that Kamala’s powers are coming from within her and it is as if the bangle just activated her powers.

With Kamran being at the right place at the right time and with the woman in the visions of Kamala, could it be that he is the same inhuman in the comics? Will he be a villain in Ms. Marvel or will he be key to Kamala finally learning about her powers? Also, how did they know that Kamala is in trouble?

In the credits, it was revealed that Kamran’s mother is Najma, the same woman in the visions of Kamala. It is possible that Najma is related to the bangle that Kamala is wearing and it may even be a bigger twist if it turns out that Najma is actually Aisha, Kamala’s great-grandmother. Will that be weird, though, because Kamala just had a crush on her relative?

See Kamran and Najma in Ms. Marvel Episode 2, now streaming on Disney Plus.
