After getting everyone's attention in The Voice in 2014, Morgan Wallen has become one of today's most sought-after country singers.

Sure, he didn't win the competition, but his time on the show was enough to gain national attention. In his years and success in the business, take a look at Wallen's life, career, and net worth.

Morgan Wallen's Career

The 30-year-old started his musical journey by joining The Voice Season 6 in 2014. Though he was eliminated in the playoffs, he was signed to Panacea Records, opening the door to massive success.

He released his debut EP, Stand Alone, in 2015.

After a year, he signed to Big Loud and released his debut album, If I Know Me, in 2018, which became the No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

His second album, Dangerous: The Double Album, dropped in January 2021, and after just a month, it became the only country album in Billboard 200's 64 years history to be at No. 1 for its first seven weeks.

It was in the top spot for ten weeks, making it the first album to do so after Whitney Houston's 1987 Whitney.

The album features the Billboard No. 1 singles "More Than My Hometown," "7 Summer," and "Wasted on You."

His third studio album, One Thing at a Time, came out this year and topped the Billboard 200 for nine concurrent weeks. All of its 36 tracks also made it to the Billboard Hot 100, making another record for most songs by a single artist on the chart at one time.

The song "Last Night" also peaked atop the chart, Wallen's first track to do so.

With this massive success, Wallen has amassed a net worth of $12 million.

Morgan Wallen's Health Update

Wallen has some bad news for everyone that he shared on an Instagram video Tuesday, May 9.

After angering his fans last month following the sudden cancellation of his show in Mississippi due to vocal issues, he now needs to take a vocal rest for six weeks.

Sadly, this will affect his 14 upcoming concerts.

After his weekend concerts in Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, and Tampa, Florida, the country music singer revealed he had injured his vocal cords.

"I got some bad news from my doctors at the Vanderbilt Voice Center yesterday," he started.

"After taking ten days of vocal rest, I performed three shows last weekend in Florida, and by the third one, I felt terrible," he continued. "So, I went in and got scoped yesterday, and they told me that I reinjured my vocal cords and that I have vocal fold trauma."

"Their advice is that I go on vocal rest for six weeks, so that's what I'm going to do."

Aside from injuring his vocal cords, Wallen tore his lat muscle while in Australia. Hence, his time off will also help him recover from this issue.

In addition to his concert cancellations, the songwriter can't attend the Academy of Country Music Awards, where he has four nominations, including the Entertainer of the Year.
