As their outing quickly sparked dating rumors, a source revealed the actor badly wanted to pursue the Queen of Latin Music. Cruise and Shakira are both single, as the latter just parted ways with her partner of 12 years, Gerard Piqué, due to alleged infidelity. So, will these two become the new A-list couple?
Tom Cruise Allegedly Wanted to Pursue Shakira
After being caught together, a source told Page Six that the actor is “extremely interested in pursuing” the 46-year-old hitmaker.
“There is chemistry,” the insider added.
After her breakup with Piqué, the tipster continued that the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer needed a “soft pillow to fall on,” and that could be Cruise.
The Top Gun: Maverick star is also said to have the “benefit of being a nice-looking guy, and he’s even talented.”

And to make them a perfect match, Shakira isn’t taller than Cruise, who’s 5-foot-7, while the former is only 5-foot-2.
As Katie Holmes’ ex was reportedly so taken by the pop diva that he allegedly sent her flowers.
For starters, the two spent time together on the race’s starting grid and talking in a private hospitality suite.
Shakira’s First Woman of the Year at the Latin Women in Music Gala
Shakira surely had an interesting weekend.
Aside from being spotted with Cruise, she also received Billboard’s first Woman of the Year at the Latin Women in Music gala Saturday, May 6.
However, she seemed to swipe at her ex, Piqué, in her speech.
“This has been a year of seismic change in my life where I’ve felt more than ever and very personally what it is to be women. And what it means,” she told the crowd in Spanish, translated to English by Billboard, per Yahoo!

She even confessed that it happened to her “more than once.”

Shakira and Piqué broke up in June after the latter allegedly cheated on his now-girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, after seeing her in the background of a Zoom he had done in 2021.
