MONSTA X Kihyun scored the nickname God of K-pop due to many jaw-dropping reasons.
Kihyun, whose real name is Yoo Kihyun, became a threat among the K-pop idols and his co-trainees due to his commendable voice. He showed his talent for the first time when he appeared in the survival show, No.Mercy.
From there, he expanded his career and became a soloist after giving original soundtracks to several K-dramas.
As he continues to become a well-renowned idol, Kihyun successfully scored the nickname God of K-pop which helped him outshined other K-pop stars.

MONSTA X Kihyun Reacts to God of K-pop Nickname
Kihyun recently graced the pages of @star1 magazine and participated in an interview with them.
At one point, the Can’t Breathe singer opened up about being called the God of K-pop.
According to Kihyun, scoring the nickname has been overwhelming and fulfilling at the same time.
“It’s a really huge motivation. It’s an undeserved yet embarrassing nickname, but as a singer, I’m very thankful to be called this,” he said.

Despite feeling shy about it, the MONSTA X member actually proved who he is and his capabilities soon after his solo debut.
In April, he received the Hanteo Chart Bronze Certificate, a commemorative certificate that certifies his official record that exceeds an album sales based on the Initial Chodong Sales. With that said, Kihyun got the recognition for having significant results in the industry.
Kihyun Focusing on Continuous Growth
During the same discussion, Kihyun said that he has been growing unceasingly for seven years.
The boy group’s main vocalist indeed let his actions do the talking to explain why he owned the moniker.
For instance, his debut album VOYAGER made history by ranking No. 22 overall in solo Initial Chodong sales. He successfully sold 135,436 copies, pushing him to rank second on the third week of March Weekly Physical Record Chart.
He also reached the top spot on the fourth week of March Global Chart.
