At this point, the new Gundam SEED movie already has fans around the world excited. That hasn’t stopped Bandai Namco Filmworks from hyping up the release though, as a new Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM trailer was shared along with new character visuals.
The movie’s previous trailer provided snippets from the film. As for this new trailer, it offers fans their best look yet at the long-awaited movie. On top of this, the film’s theme songs were also previewed.
Gundam SEED FREEDOM Main Trailer Reveals Theme Songs
The recent year has been an incredible one for Gundam fans as they were treated to lots of new projects, with more to come soon. For instance, there was the popular Gundam: Witch from Mercury anime.
Now, fans can look forward to Gundam SEED FREEDOM, the long-awaited return of the Gundam SEED series. This is a momentous film for many, especially as it’s the first SEED project in decades.
Moreover, instead of being a compilation film or a spinoff, this movie is a proper sequel to the two-season anime series.
Now, a new trailer was shared to further hype the series up. You can watch it here:
The trailer also previews the show’s opening and ending themes. Fittingly, the opening is titled Freedom, and it’s made by Takanori Nishikawa (aka T.M. Revolution) and t.komuro (Tetsuya Komuro).
This should be great news for fans as Nishikawa is an iconic artist for Gundam SEED fans. After all, he made six songs for the original anime seasons.
As for the ending, the music duo See-Saw will also return for the song Sarigiwa no Romantics.

New Gundam SEED FREEDOM Visual Shows Off Characters and Mobile Suits
If the trailer isn’t enough to get fans excited, Bandai Namco Filmworks also shared new visuals for the film that highlight both new and returning characters, as well as four mobile suits.
Based on the sheer number of new characters and returning cast members, Gundam SEED FREEDOM is shaping up to be a massive release. Given this, it’s likely to draw a big crowd of Gundam fans when it releases next month.
The Gundam SEED FREEDOM movie will be released in Japanese cinemas on January 26, 2024.
For now, there’s no word yet on release plans for the film internationally. But chances are that it will be released outside of Japan given Gundam’s popularity across the world.
