There are lots of iconic Mobile Suit Gundam titles, but it’s fair to say that Gundam SEED is among the most popular.

While some fans don’t consider it among the best the franchise has to offer, it continues to have a large and dedicated fanbase, especially as many Gundam fans grew up with the series.

SEED has been dormant over the past decade since Gundam SEED Destiny ended in 2005, so it was a surprise to many when Bandai Namco Filmworks revealed that the previously announced movie was set to release in 2024.

The Gundam SEED movie was originally announced way back in 2006, though its production was postponed due to the declining health of the main writer Chiaki Morosowa.

Sadly, Morosowa passed away in 2016. Despite this, Bandai Namco revealed that the film was still in production.

Early last month, the film’s official title was revealed, along with its early 2024 release date. The reveal also came with the first trailer and a key visual.
