Mike Flanagan Breaks Silence on DC's Clayface Movie

In case you missed it, Clayface is expected to get a live-action treatment as the DC comic book villain is reportedly appearing in The Batman - Part II. In addition to that, Clayface might get his own standalone film with Mike Flanagan reportedly developing the project.

So is it true that Mike Flanagan is working on the Clayface movie? The Haunting of Hill House creator has finally broken his silence and addressed the potential project.

Mike Flanagan took to his official Twitter account to clarify his involvement in the Clayface movie.

"Re: CLAYFACE - the news today is entirely speculative. When or if something like that ever becomes real, I promise I'll tell you guys. :)," Flanagan wrote.

Interestingly, the Midnight Mass creator did not address the possibility of Clayface appearing in The Batman 2. With that in mind, we're hoping that the villain's possible debut in the sequel will lead to a solo film. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Not surprisingly, people are excited about the possibility of Clayface getting his own film. After all, the villain is one of the most notable enemies of Batman and his identity has changed so much in the DC comic books. Although Clayface has appeared in numerous animated shows, he has yet to be given a live-action debut. Needless to say, the idea of Clayface showing up in The Batman 2 or his own movie is an exciting one.

The Batman Part II is set to bring back Matt Reeves to direct and Robert Pattinson is expected to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, but it is still unclear if the other cast members of the original film will return in the second movie. The sequel is already set to begin production in London in November this year. It is currently scheduled for release on October 3, 2025.
