The Mandalorian Star Desperately Wants To Play Live-Action Poison Ivy

The Mandalorian star Katee Sackhoff is nothing short when it comes to her versatility in voicing an animated character and playing the live-action counterpart of it, which is exactly what she did with Star Wars: Rebels’ Bo-Katan Kryze. Sackhoff was immensely praised by fans for honing and making the character her very own.

With her The Mandalorian Season 3 role soon ending with an uncertain future in reprising her Bo-Katan in Ahsoka, Sackhoff is open to expand her roles in other franchises.

“I can’t quite say that I would sell my firstborn, because she’s quite special to me [laughs]. But I would like, sh*t twice and die to play Poison Ivy,” Sackhoff confessed in a recent interview with Comicbook.com.

When asked if she would join Mike Flanagan’s rumored Clayface film, Sackhoff: “[Mike Falagan] is such a genius and so collaborative. Working on Oculus was so much fun for me, because he allowed me to talk about what I wanted to do with her [the character, Marie Russell]. I love bringing physicality to the roles that I play and horror is no different.”

It is worth mentioning that Katee Sackhoff had already voiced the supervillain Pamela Isley (aka Poison Ivy) in Batman: The Long Halloween and its Part Two. Considering how brilliantly Sackhoff transformed Bo-Katan from its animated version to the live-action, there is no doubt that doing the same thing with Poison Ivy would be no more than a wise move from DC Studios.

It’s a rare sight to witness a voice actor also reprising their role in the live-action version of the character, and Sackhoff has had her share in her career of sci-fi projects, which definitely earned her well-equipped background on the transitions.

As for whether she will be able to do the same thing with DC’s Poison Ivy, only time can tell when DC Studios plans on bringing back the supervillain.

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 is now available to stream on Disney+.
