Migi and Dali, a manga series from the late Nami Sano, the original creator of Haven’t You Heard I’m Sakamoto? made headlines due to its unsettling vibe that draws both viewers and readers alike to its weird and creepy universe. Migi & Dali: Fall 2023’s Weird and Creepy Anime

The debut episode of Migi and Dali received mixed reviews from the anime community. Some love it due to its unconventional storyline, but others are not impressed due to its absurdity and over-the-place atmosphere.

The character designs are not that impressive as well, but compared to other shows in the past, Migi and Dali has a very clean and decent animation quality.

On the bright side, Migi and Dali is a highly unpredictable anime that will catch you by surprise thanks to the exploits of Migi and Dali.

One minute you’re expecting something creepy to happen, and the next thing you know, you’re laughing at the ludicrousness of the actions of the characters.

Personally, I found myself looking forward to seeing what the twins are up to and how they will accomplish their goals.

It feels like there’s something sinister going on due to the nasty smiles of the characters, but then the anime feeds you with the silliest thing you can’t even imagine happening.

And by the end of Episode 1, I find myself craving more of the twins’ antics.

Kadokawa describes Migi and Dali’s story:

Under the table is the angel's secret.
The boy's name was Hitori. A stork brought the angel into the lives of a middle-aged couple who were not blessed with children. His parents were kind, his house was spacious, and his meals were hot. But to protect the happiness he had received, Hitori continued to hide an important secret from his parents.

No, Migi and Dali is not a horror anime. It has an unsettling vibe similar to Junji Ito’s Japanese Tales of the Macabre anime, but that’s all there is to it.

It doesn’t scream horror anime, since the anime’s goal is not to scare the viewers but to trick their minds.

Instead, Migi and Dali is a mystery anime that will keep the viewers guessing about the real motivation behind the characters, the secrets they are hiding, what they are up to, and what will happen to these people.

Migi and Dali is a mystery anime that is full of twists and turns. It relies on its unpredictability to entertain the viewers and keep them committed.

Have you seen anime twins switch places underneath the dinner table? How about an anime twin hanging under a tree to put up a bird’s nest?

The anime has a different sense of humor, so expect that you will not be able to relate to some of it from time to time.

Regardless, this mystery anime will still make you laugh due to how unpredictable the jokes are, particularly their timing.
