Michael Jacob Wins The 2019 Magic: The Gathering Online Championship


The 2019 Magic Online Championship took place this past weekend, and after an intense best-of-three series against Logan Nettles, Michael Jacob wins the competition.

Jacob takes hom $50,000 out of the $250,000 prize pool with a 2-1 series victory against Nettles, who played against Jacob for nine straight games. The three-day competition was a mix of Vintage Cube Draft, Modern Constructed, and Pioneer Constructed, and Jacob had to earn his Top 4 spot. Day 3 (Sunday) featured the Top 4 single-elimination best-of-three matches in Modern and Pioneer, and Jacob played Heliod Company in Modern, and Mono-Green Planeswalkers in Pioneer.

Since Jacob won the 2019 Magic Online Championship, he is invited to return for the Zendikar Rising Split championship on December 4 to 6.
