Kim Mo-mi, a girl insecure about her looks, becomes a masked live-streamer by night. But her internet fame led to a series of unfortunate events.
She ends up in jail after authorities conclude that she’s connected to some murder cases. But before she goes to prison, she gives birth to a baby girl, Kim Mi-mo.

Who Is the Father of Mi-mo in Mask Girl?
Ju Oh-nam is Mi-mo’s father in Mask Girl. Oh-nam was one of Mask Girl’s followers, and he was obsessed with her. He finds out that Kim Mo-mi is Mask Girl because they happen to work in the same place.
He follows her around and is jealous of the fact that Mo-mi likes her boss, Mr. Park. One night, Mo-mi finds Mr. Park drunk and takes him back home where they end up sleeping in the same bed.
A part of Mr. Park likely believes that they had sex, but they didn’t do it as he fell asleep quickly. So, Mr. Park is not Mi-mo’s father.
When Mr. Park resigns, Mo-mi becomes devastated, so she agrees to meet with a fan. She ends up meeting “Handsome Monk” and even reveals her face to him. Oh-nam figures out that something terrible will happen to Mo-mi, so he goes after her.
Handsome Monk attempts to rape Mo-mi, but he gets knocked out. Mo-mi believes that she killed Handsome Monk, and Oh-nam says that he would take care of the situation.
The one who actually ended up killing Handsome Monk was Oh-nam. Later on, Mask Girl reveals that she will be having her last broadcast. Oh-nam rushes to Mo-mi’s apartment and finds out that she will be leaving.
Oh-nam then rapes Mo-mi, which leads to the latter stabbing him to death. Later on, we find out that Mo-mi is pregnant.
When Chun-ae asks if Ju Oh-nam is the father, Mo-mi gives an expression that implies Oh-nam is indeed the father. So, Oh-nam’s mother, Kyung-ja, has been targeting Mi-mo without knowing that the latter is her granddaughter.

What Happens to Mi-mo in Mask Girl’s Ending?
Unfortunately for Mi-mo, the only time she actually got to spend with her mother was when her life was in danger. And when they managed to escape from Kyung-ja’s house, Mo-mi gets shot. Mi-mo’s mother dies in her arms.
After her mother and grandmother’s death, Ye-chun’s parents become Mi-mo’s temporary guardians. Mi-mo has had difficulty growing up because she’s Mask Girl’s daughter. However, in the finale, we see that she goes back to school and no longer has hatred toward other people.
The series ends with Mi-mo watching a video of her mother dancing when she was younger. Tears come out of Mi-mo’s eyes as Mo-mi mentions that her dream is to become someone who’s loved by everyone.
