Marvel’s Ross Marquand On Whether Or Not Red Skull Survives Thanos’ Snappening

While Marvel fans already know whether or not their favorite heroes managed to survive Thanos' (Josh Brolin) Decimation in Avengers: Infinity War, there are a whole lot of other characters that remain unaccounted for, including the Red Skull. Now, as Avengers: Endgame approaches its release, Marquand reveals whether or not his character managed to survive the Snappening.

Speaking in an interview with Dubai Lad, Marquand was asked whether or not Red Skull made it out of the Snappening alive. After his last appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger, Red Skull made a surprise came in Infinity War, revealing himself as the keeper of the Soul Stone on the planet Vormir. Seeing his place in the Universe, was he snapped along with everyone else?

"That's a great question, I have no idea. I don't know, to be perfectly honest I have no idea, because that was a question that I had as well," Marquand admitted, "But Marvel is very tight-lipped about it, they don't really reveal a lot of those secrets, so your guess is as good as mine. I have no idea. He might be in the Soul Stone with everybody else, you never know."

That's a pretty interesting response. Wouldn't the Soul Stone want to leave its keeper alive? Then again, what use is the Red Skull when the Stone has already been given to Thanos?

It's likely that we'll get to see the Red Skull again though when the Avengers try to go back in time and retrieve the Infinity Stones to undo Thanos' Decimation. Or not. Let's wait and see.

Avengers: Endgame premieres tomorrow, April 26.
