In spite of the first series not being received well, Netflix greenlit a second season for Iron Fist. The show definitely has its fans with some actually preferring it over Luke Cage, but it did have plenty of problems, most of which will hopefully be fixed in this season. Danny Rand is a pretty awesome character in the comics after all and he deserves a good Netflix series.
Seems like the second season is almost finished, as photos of the series' wrap up party have surfaced. Unfortunately, these images have been removed, likely for legal purposes.
This is a shame since some of the pictures that were taken by Y-CATS Craft Service (via CBR) had Danny Rand actor Finn Jones on the DC booth. Still, it's good to know that the series will be back soon, though we can only hope that it improves upon everything that the first season did wrong (which is a lot).
While fans of the series are excited to see Iron Fist, we will probably have to wait until next year before it premieres. This year already has Luke Cage season two and Daredevil season three, with Jessica Jones season two debuting earlier this year.
Expect Iron Fist season two to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2019, along with the second season of The Punisher.
