Marvel’s Iron Fist Gets Episode Names & Director Listings

Thanks to the ongoing rating and grading reviews for Marvel's Iron Fist on Netflix, most of the director credits and episode titles for the show have been revealed.

Bleeding Cool has spotted the list first, with the main point of interest being that a lot of the episodes are rated 15, with only one getting a 12-rating and the other a surprising R-18 rating.

These ratings are merely for the strong violent and bloody content rather than very mature storylines. More interesting is the fact that because of the one episode with the R-18 rating, the entire collection's DVD box set will be rated-18—at least as far as Britain's BBFC is concerned.

According to the source, this is not a new move from the BBFC. The organization has already been known for being stricter in terms of viewing martial arts scenes or those depicting weapons as for more mature audiences. For Marvel's Iron Fist, these scenes are those that feature nunchucks, shuriken, and swords, due to the possibility of younger audiences imitating onscreen violence.

The list below shows the 13 episodes with titles and directors:

Episode 1: "Snow Gives Way" by John Dahl
Episode 2: "Shadow Hawk Takes Flight" by John Dahl
Episode 3: "Rolling Thunder Cannon Punch" by Tom Shankland
Episode 4: "Eight Diagram Dragon Palm" (no director yet)
Episode 5" "Under Leaf Pluck Lotus" by Uta Briesewitz
Episode 6: "Immortal Emerges from Cave" (no director yet)
Episode 7: "Felling with Tree Routes" by Farren Blackburn
Episode 8: "The Blessing of Many Fractures" by Kevin Tancharoen
Episode 9: "The Mistress of All Agonies" by Jet Wilkinson
Episode 10: unknown title and director
Episode 11: "Lead Horse Back to Stable" by Deborah Chow
Episode 12: unknown title and director
Episode 13: "Dragon plays with Fire" by Stephen Surjik

There aren't a lot currently known about the direction of Iron Fist, though star Finn Jones has hinted that it will be a continuous story for lead hero Danny Rand leading to The Defenders.

Iron Fist will debut in Netflix on March 17.
