Marvel Teases Major X-Men Announcement with...Rob Liefeld?

While everyone is going crazy over Spider-Man, Marvel Comics wants you to know that they are also planning something big for the X-Men. No, it's not Dark Phoenix, which is looking more and more like a hot mess every day, but a new comic book event that might feature an artist people either love or hate; Rob Liefeld.

The teaser for this new X-Men event is a simple sketch of a character's helmet with an X on it. This post also says "X marks the spot," while the sketch has 5/5/1992, which is the biggest hint that this could be a Liefeld project.

Some fans might groan over the fact that there is going to be yet another X-Men event since Age of X-Man hasn't even started yet. Granted, this could be a separate mini-series or will be coming out sometime after Age of X-Man but we'll have to wait and see. At least Cyclops is back in Uncanny X-Men #11 right guys?

Liefeld has had a few projects with Marvel in recent years, doing a number of variant covers for the company and drawing the original graphic novel Deadpool: Bad Blood. A sequel called Deadpool: Badder Blood was announced by the artist but nothing concrete has been stated since, implying that this is still a work-in-progress.

Who else is excited about Liefeld's possible comeback? Or this new X-Men event?
