Now that the actors' strike has ended, all major Hollywood productions including the upcoming MCU releases are set to resume filming again very soon. Both people in the industry and fans are celebrating that everything is going back to normal now.

However, one issue that will arise in the aftermath of the strike is the inevitable delay of upcoming releases since the majority of them have not finished filming before the strike began last July.

Some fans are wondering whether we will be hearing more delays once again for the upcoming MCU releases which won't be surprising at this point given the circumstances for the past few months.

Now, we finally have the official word.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Disney and Marvel Studios are delaying the releases of some of the upcoming MCU movies in the aftermath of the end of the actors' strike.

Deadpool 3, which was previously set to open the summer season in May, is now set for release in theaters on July 26, 2024. The film was halfway done when production halted last July. It is now set to resume in the coming weeks.

Captain America: Brave New World is being moved to February 14, 2025. Reporter Jeff Sneider claimed that the delay was due to the upcoming reshoots that are set to commence early next year after receiving underwhelming test screening scores.

Thunderbolts, which was previously scheduled for the holiday season in 2024, is now set to release on July 25, 2025. Blade is also moving to November 7, 2025, as Marvel's post-Halloween offering. Both of them were supposed to begin filming last summer before the strikes happened.

As a result of these delays, Deadpool 3 is now the only MCU theatrical release next year, which is a rare occurrence in the franchise since they usually have multiple films per year.

Fantastic Four, which is set to begin filming early next year, is still scheduled for release on May 2, 2025.

This is unfortunate news for many fans since they have to wait a little longer once again for the upcoming MCU release although it is inevitable. At the very least, the cast and crew will have more time to finish the film and Marvel Studios can also make sure that they'll live up to the quality.
