Looks like the United Kingdom just got its own team of superheroes!

Marvel Comics revealed that they will introduce a whole new superhero team called The Union. The group will be making their debut in the highly-anticipated Empyre event series. Union Jack will seemingly lead the team along with new heroes from the countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Union is written by Paul Grist with art by Andrea Di Vito.

Before the Empyre event debuts in April, Marvel will also release a prelude one-shot called Road to Empire: The Kree/Skull War by Robbie Thompson, Mattia de Iulius, and Javier Rodriguez. The book is said to explore the origins of the conflict between the Skrulls and the Kree. That being said, the event will have the Avengers and the Fantastic Four as its main characters.

Further details about Marvel's newest UK superhero team are yet to be revealed, but fans can't wait to learn more about the characters once the series gets released. Aside from Union Jack, the rest of the team is comprised of new characters so it'll be interesting to see what kind of abilities they have and the adventures they'd embark in.
