Who is Yoo Hee Yeon in Marry My Husband? Why Do People Love Her Character?
Yoo Hee Yeon (played by Choi Gyu-ri) is a fictional character in the Kdrama Marry My Husband. Aside from being Kang Ji-won's (played by Park Min-young) colleague, Hee Yeon is also the younger half-sibling of Yoo Ji-hyuk (played by Na In-woo).
One of the reasons why viewers love Hee Yeon in Marry My Husband is because of her no-nonsense personality.
Even though she's *secretly* a chaebol and the granddaughter of the owner of the company she works in, she doesn't demand special treatment.
She doesn't like it when other people suck up to her for her family name or status. She hates it when Jung Soo-min (played by Song Ha-yoon) plays the damsel in distress or uses her beauty to get what she wants.
The audience has also taken a liking to Hee Yeon's bubbly personality. She loves food and isn't worried about what other people think.
Because of her honesty and loyalty, it's easy for Ji-won to become friends with her. In return, Hee Yeon calls Ji-won her savior since the latter helped her out when she had a small emergency in the office restroom.
Does Hee Yeon Have a Love Interest in Marry My Husband?
In the webtoon, Hee Yeon eventually realizes she has feelings for Baek Eun-ho (played by Lee Gi-kwang). Unfortunately, Hee Yeon was unsuccessful in stopping Eun-ho from leaving the country. Instead, he promises that he will be with her when he returns.
This is because Eun-ho decided to study pastry arts in a different country. It's also his way of helping his heart get over Ji-won. True enough, Eun-ho returns just in time for Ji-won and Ji-hyuk's wedding in the webtoon.
As for the Kdrama, we don't know if it will stay loyal to this story arc. But from what we see, Eun-ho and Hee Yeon's love story is set in stone.
