The Jujutsu Kaisen movie was a big success as it was a certified box office hit. Given its popularity, MAPPA is looking to capitalize on it by releasing a new line of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 merch featuring a special key animation compilation.
MAPPA’s new line of merch consists of small collectibles, apparel, and the movie’s Blu-Ray/DVD release. Though the highlight for fans is no doubt the key animation compilation.
Entitled “Jujutsu Kaisen KEY ANIMATION Vol.0,” this book is a 208-page compilation of carefully selected scenes from the movie.
This is the third key animation volume following volumes 1 and 2 which included scenes from the TV anime.
As seen in the Tweet promoting the book, it features drawings that form the basis of the anime film.
Included inside are key animation drawings from the movie such as Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin’s conversation inside the school, as well as Satoru Gojo’s activation of his Six Eyes power.
The book comes in two versions, including a standard edition that’s priced at JPY 3,960 (around USD 27.50) and a special edition priced at JPY 6,160 (around USD 46).
The special edition comes with a box that can fit the previous two key animation volumes.
These key animation compilation editions are available for pre-order now on the MAPPA online shop, with orders being available until August 8, 2022, with a release date set on September 21, 2022.
Other Jujutsu Kaisen 0 merch, including the home video discs, apparel, pin badges, and accessories are also available on the MAPPA online shop.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is the first feature film in the series, and it is based on the single-volume manga of the same name. As its title implies, the movie serves as a prequel to the Jujutsu Kaisen TV anime. It follows the story of Yuta Okkotsu as he joins the Tokyo Jujutsu High School.
The movie was released in Japan on December 24, 2021. It was then released in the US and Canada on March 18, 2022.
