South Korean actor Ma Dong Seok shared more details about his upcoming movie, The Roundup: No Way Out.

Ma Dong Seok, who is also known as Don Lee, will star in the new film, The Roundup: No Way Out. It serves as the new installment of the trilogy following The Outlaws in 2017 and The Roundup in 2022.

Ma Dong Seok's The Roundup: No Way Out Details

Ahead of the release, Ma Dong Seok and the creators of The Roundup: No Way Out held a press conference during which they shared further details about the film.

According to Ma Dong Seok, the upcoming movie will hype fans as it will introduce new villains.

"We expanded (the franchise's) universe and tried to show new elements in terms of story and action scenes," he said, per The Korea Times. "While I mostly showed one punch scenes in the past two films, I threw more rhythmical, successive punches in the movie. It will be fun to watch a new combination with villains of different personalities."

The movie franchise explores the life of Ma Seok Do. He is a cop who works with the Regional Investigation Unit to chase down an infamous local drug cartel.

The Roundup director Lee Sang Young returned to create the third film, which also features actor Lee Joon Hyuk. The actor plays the role of a mysterious drug kingpin named Joo Sung Cheol. Meanwhile, Aoki Muneteka has also been tapped to play Riki's role, a Japanese gangster who smuggles drugs in Seoul, South Korea.

The first two films were rated R, but the upcoming edition can be watched by those aged 15 and older.

When Will The Roundup: No Way Out Premiere?

Meanwhile, fans should also look forward to what Lee Joon Hyuk prepared for them. The Along With the Gods star reportedly added 20 kgs. to his weight to portray his character perfectly. He added that he needed to bulk up so his fight scenes with Ma Dong Seok would not look awkward.

"Joo Sung-cheol is a mastermind of drug crimes, largely living in the shadows. He is very smart and violent. If this kind of person is around you, it would be very scary," he went on.

Ma Dong Seok's movie The Roundup: No Way Out will be released on May 31.
